A single motor riser recliner chair is where one motor controls all of the electric functions on the chair. … By pressing the rise button, the chair moves into a raised sit-to-stand position. The backrest will rise while the footrest drops and then the whole chair will rise, all through that single motor.

Dual Motor

The dual motor recline offers you greater flexibility in your positioning because the movement can adjust the back rest and the leg rest independently to the seat itself. The standard dual motor Rise and Recline chair has all the features of the single motor chair except a separate, second motor controls the leg rest.
